The Beginning, 2012-2016

Victoria Cornwall grew up on a farm in Cornwall. Following a fulfilling twenty-five year career as a nurse, a change in profession finally allowed her the time to write.

She initially self-published two novels, Old Sins, Long Shadows and The Gossamer Trail. The Gossamer Trail was shortlisted for the New Talent Award at the Festival of Romantic Fiction and both Old Sins, Long Shadows and The Gossamer Trail were nominated for the RONE Best Indie or Small Published Book Award by InD'tale magazine.

The First Book Deal 2016-2020

In March, 2016, Victoria secured a publishing contract for her third novel, The Thief's Daughter, with award winning, independent publisher, Choc Lit. She went on to publish six novels with Choc Lit, as detailed below:-

1st January, 2017, The Thief's Daughter. The book became a finalist in the Romantic Novelists' Association's Joan Hessayon Award.
3rd October, 2017, The Captain's Daughter (originally titled Old Sins, Long Shadows). In the same year a short story by Victoria was published in Your Cat magazine.
17th July, 2018, Daughter of River Valley (originally titled The Gossamer Trail).
20th November, 2018, A Daughter's Christmas Wish. In the same year a short story by Victoria was published in Your Cat magazine.
16th April, 2019, Daughter of the House. In the same year, a short story by Victoria was published in Your Cat magazine.
24th March, 2020, Daniel's Daughter.

2021 Onwards

In 2021, Daniel's Daughter became a finalist in the Romantic Novelists' Association's Goldsboro Books Historical Romantic Novel Award.
In October 2022, her first translation, Daniel's Daughter, was released in the Czech Republic under the new title For Honour and Love.
On 31st January, 2023, her first WW2 novel, Waiting For Our Rainbow, was released.
On 29th March, 2023, Joffe Books acquired Victoria's publisher, Choc Lit, including all of her released titles to date.
On 14th November, 2023 Choc Lit (A Joffe Books Company) published her second WW2 novel, The Paris Affair.
She hopes to have more WW2 novels published by Joffe's newly acquired imprint in the future
